  • Mothering the Mother

    Once baby is born, new mothers can often feel as if all focus is suddenly turned towards the infant. New mothers deserve to be supported during this vulnerable, transformative and sacred period, where both baby and mother are adjusting to their new lives together. My job is to care for you so that you can be your best self to care for your baby.

  • Healing through Food

    Proper nourishment is a key component to postpartum care. Expect meals and snacks from me for you and your family, following traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic approaches for postpartum care.

  • Lactation Support

    I am trained in lactation support for new mothers! Allow me to support you and your baby on your breastfeeding journey, recommending positions, holistic remedies for discomfort, etc. I can also refer you to lactation consultants in the area when problems persist.

  • mental and emotional support

    We all know postpartum depression and anxiety are rampant in our country. And while this is a natural part of the postpartum process, I also believe the commonplace nature of these problems are connected to the way our culture regards the postpartum period. Ensuring a new mother is allowed the adequate time and space to properly heal from birth, both physically and emotionally, will reduce symptoms of PPD and PPA. My practice seeks to reclaim ancient models of community support and sisterhood which is vital during the fourth trimester.

What does this service include?

  • This service is meant to be tailored to meet your family’s unique needs throughout your postpartum period (six weeks after giving birth) and can include the following

    ~ Partner, sibling, and family support

    ~ Routine building and strategizing

    ~ Lactation support

    ~ Light housekeeping and laundry

    ~ Meal preparation

    ~ Emotional support (debriefing birth experience, etc.)
